Downloading/Installing RTCW 1.4 (on a mac)

Hi All,
Was having a laugh with my brother earlier about our days of RTCW and after rummaging through nostalgic clips on line I found this site and see that although it's expectedly inactive, there are still some 3v3's now and then.
What's the deal with setting up RTCW nowadays? The disk is long gone, so would I have to go out and find and buy a game to buy, or can it just be downloaded?
Also, I can't seem to find any servers using on line server scout tools and read that the reason behind this is that sometime not to long ago that the master serve was taken down, and as such you can't refresh the servers. If so, how are people still playing?
Just been watching the classic Doctors v Infensus 2002 QuakeCon which I happened to find on YouTube! I Still remember iN-civ ambushing dr.ArKaiNe on Ice like it was yesterday!
Civ was my hero!

Beach 24/7 server mostly active but haven't played osp for a bit now as half the time they're too inactive (pub wise at least) :(
