well for sure csgo will never be as good as et, but only this game fulfilled the most prerequisites from fuchs and me, we tried many games out but only cs was good enough and since et is slowly dying we had to search for a "replacement"

I've only had about 3-4 hours gameplay on pub but mostly it's utter shit, played on various tick servers, ping avg around 12 shooting half a clip on some people from behind so now I end up shooting more bodyshots in hope something will hit :D
The game itself is quite decent when there's not too many on, doesn't help that I only get 20-40fps atm but after christmas will be better :p

The kidness in CS is horrible, too much teenagers playing it who keeps whining always no matter what. Be ready for it cause you definetly will experience that if you play with randoms on match making :)

I picked it up. It's alive, looks nice, has great support, constant updates and it's really easy to get into a game. I still like the gameplay of ET a lot more so far, but it trumps ET on the other fronts.

So basically you said its alive. Nice crook! I'm sure you are great essay writer ;) Anyway yes of course it beats ET up with all those things but still, whats the point to play it.. Maybe for fun on scrims but I don't really get it why people would go all about praccing it really. I've it also but the only thing different on it is that m4a1 has 10 bullets less on the gun than cs 1.6 and it has the match making system based on your ranking. Really nice effort after million of years! I'm not saying there should be more updates because if ET2 was ever made noone would like major updates on the gameplay anyway :> But the thing is.. Why people didn't play the game before, why they just recently started playing it when it has been here like forever?

For me personally, it's because there are few other FPS games out there. Quakelive and ET are pretty dead. The game looks nice, can be pretty fun to play and it's easy to start a game with friends. So when it was on sale, I had no reason to not get it. Also, it can be very tense to spectate. The matchmaking system is a huge plus in my opinion. I haven't played 1.6, but I've heard more than a few people say that CS:GO is the better game.

Matchmaking, skins, graphics are some improvements. I wouldn't know about anything else, I never played 1.6 myself. It's still a good game. I'm not playing it near as much as I used to play ET, but it's still fun so far.
