ET Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 Problem

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my nvidia graphics card. Here my specs of my PC:
- Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60 GHz, 8.0GB RAM,
- Graphic card -> Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (192-bit)

I got ingame stable 125 fps. But it doesn't seem smooth at all, it's like a slight stutter when I move my mouse from left to right, but it's not a mouse issue. It's ever since I updated my graphic card DRIVER. And yes I've reverted to the older driver version but it doesn't have an influence. I've also tried nvidia 3d settings turning off threaded optimization and ingame setting /r_primitives 2, none have worked. So I'm running out of ideas, what could work and give me smooth gameplay again? I'm sure there are others out there with newer graphic cards that may have the same issue?

ive recently tried refreshrate 75 no changes... so weird!

:( shouldn't be the card as you said it was OK before driver update.
will be purchasing the gtx760 today too so hope it's good x) but anything is better than my 210 atm :DD

yes the gfx card itself is very good, u can play bf4 and farcry4 with stable fps xD
but ET just doesnt wanna work well. anyhow good luck

I have this feeling every time I minimize ET and then go back to it, goes away by vid restarting. It's really annoying, haven't found any other solution.

thanks for your replies guys. @trikk i've tried those settings, have stable 125 fps but its still not smooth, it's like the refresh rate of the monitor is at like 40hz, thats how it feels like, but ofc its at 75 hz..
and i've downloaded what u posted @toerag, but no clue which settings to use, do u have a ET preferred setting that u could upload a picture of? thanks

Only ever had that when the ET refresh rate wasn't the same as my monitor one so displayrefresh 75 on both or whatever.

Also, there is a 'Reply' button next to comments instead of typing @ :D

Please let us know if you have resolved this.

I have had this stuttering effect too a few times in the past but never managed to understand how I "fixed" it.

Does the game stutter when you're in the main menu of ET eg. showing the server lists?
Have you tried reinstalling ET?

hey. i couldnt resolve it yet. ET only stutters ingame, and reinstalling ET hasn't changed anything. I am very convinced that it has to do with my graphics card driver or something in the nvidia settings..
I'll let you know if i can find a solution!
Man you're lucky if you could fix it, you really can't remember? What a bummer!

Can you try:

1. Executing default etconfig.cfg to see whether it could be a config issue.

2. Run command prompt program on your computer then type /ipconfig flushdns and press enter. Restart your modem by powering it off for ~10 seconds and then powering it back on.

3. Install and run a hardware temperature scanner such as [urlnew]https://www.piriform.com/speccy[/url]. Monitor the temperatures of your graphics card, CPU, storage and why not motherboard before and after running ET.

Let's try with these three options as I cannot come up with much more at the moment :P


edit. 4. Have a play around with NVIDIA GeForce Experience if you don't have it already.

-optimized threading off
-set hz to highest possible
-vsync off
or try downloading pbprior and forcing ET to 1 core
These helped me with annoying lags

What other programs are you running besides ET on background, can you do a screenshot maybe, to see if something can affect ET's performance? I had lag issues when I used xfire for example... etc, just would like to see what's running on the background to rule out any possible reason for your issue.

Also the services tab from Task Manager, because for me atleast, some of the other games background update programs have been causing lag issues.

Bad news. I tried everything that was suggested in this thread and I litteraly see no change, I've decided to give up since it's clearly a string of reasons that lead to these micro stutters. So I'm just gonna have to play another game.
