dex_ in need of help!

Hi!
As I play, I rarely encounter a weird connection problem making ET unplayable.
From my perspective it looks like the connection is broken for a moment (screenshots below), but suprisingly I can move all around the map when it happens. What adds oddness to the thing is that my teammates can't see anything happening to my connection (for instance "connection lost" icon over my head). As additional info, let me just mention, that it can happen twice every minute, or every five seconds, so it varies as much as it possibly can.
I'd be really happy to fix this as it totally drains fun out of the game.

P.S. I've also noticed, that I can't assign permament affinity to the ET.exe in task manager. When I check all 8 processor threads to the application, it changes back to just one.

For the affinity part, I'd suggest "EasyToolz" .. CPU

I didn't even install PB since it's not used on the scrim/offi servers.

Could be anything den, like background-updaters/virus malware etc.. as I doubt its config related either

No, It looks completely different from a DDOS. I specified it precisely above - there's just 999 visible only for me. In case of a DDOS, the ping is unstable and usually varies a lot. In my case it's always 999.

I used to have it on my PC, then I dont remember how but it disappeared. Now its the same on my laptop. :/

Well, shit.. is this related to WLAN then? as der could be various backgroundscans to keep the connection alive and or search for new networks etc..

No, it was just the router itself. If I'm not mistaken, it was a tp-link router. I was on cable net, and still the same happened just like on Wifi. Then I checked if it's the same using straight the modem, without router, and then problem was gone. So I went back to the store with the warranty, and they gave me a new router, an asus one. Since I got that, it works perfectly. I believe it was that TP-Link router, since I tried 2 different ones. (When I first got it, I brought it back to the store and they gave me a new one from the same, saying that this might be factory wrong)

Had something similar a few years ago. Disabled DoS defense in the router and never had a problem with it again

We need to know what did you try so far to fix this.
And I guess we also have to know if your connection is high only on ET when you lag or everywhere.

I had that issue when my phone cable to router was bent and caused problems with connection :v
