How to increase ET's activity in less than five hours

pro scene have to move to legacy first

without releasing source code, etpro is dead
theres not enough ingame support for competitive play in original game client, configuring irc is just pain
my only hope for et competitive scene is that etlegacy/etlive would integrate watching competitive games and matchmaking like in CSGO

Imo ET or something similar needs to be remade completely with some more up to date engine. Maybe some sort of WW2-mod with the spirit of ET with e.g. reflex engine. No new player will be interested in ET as it is. Out of date graphics, out of date matchmaking (well actually there is no matchmaking), out of date everything, it just isn't attractive anymore.

I've been playing CS:Go for fun for two weeks now, and I actually do enjoy the game somewhat. Still I still miss strafe-aim-shooting (whatever you wanna call that thing where you move and shoot in ET at the same time), trickjumps, dynamic gameplay and all that fun stuff with rifles, field ops and medics and whatnot. But as there is no better alternative currently than CS (well dunno about bf), I'll just stick playing casually CS:Go whenever I have some spare time. CS:Go has decent matchmaking system; you can go solo or with friends if u wish, newer graphics and a lot sharper and more detailed visual outlook overall. Silver elo on solo games sucks tho, and makes me wanna puke and stop playing, but what a heck, you can always put a team together or play mixes with some friends.
