Shit. Only good for reinforcing vocabulary I found. I had to learn chinese and when I got to chinkland rosetta stone proved to be nothing. The intro kind of stuff it teaches is just useless, unless your going on holiday and maybe need to ask where the pool is or books etc.
Im sure there is real life scenario stuff further on but I couldnt put myself into it and carry on through.
It is a nice layout and user friendly with tests and images to remember vocab, thats the kind of theme it goes for, repetition I believe but even still it didnt make it clear enough for me.
good morning frenk :D

it's an over-hyped program, and it's not half as good as what people make it out to be. Best way to learn German is to just surround yourself by people who speak German 24/7. Move to Germany and pick up on the language. Auditory learning proves best when learning another language which is why children can learn their native language so fast compared to, for example, taking Spanish or German in high school and learning how to spell everything, the grammar etc. Make some German friends on ET :D and have them help you learn the language. You can use Rosetta Stone, but I'd combo it with a translator, (google translate for example. I dunno how good it is, but that's what I've done in the past and it's worked better than solely tunnel visioning on Rosetta Stone
From what I understand it's meant to supplement m8. I used it for a bit and picked up on a bit but there are many elements that I still couldn't do due to dynamics (reading is fine, listening sucks). Duolingo is good too.
memrise.com for getting vocabulary, learn grammar elsewhere. no need to buy that crap. been there, done that, got nothing out of it.
