New monitor advice required

Hello wonderful people of Crossfire, I am planning to buy a new monitor in the next couple of days, my budget is somewhere around 250 euro and for this amount of money I have found an AOC G2460FQ Monitor http://aoc-europe.com/en/products/G2460FQ there are a lot of pros and cons reviews about it but most of the people that have bought it are satisfied with it, what do you think?

Thanks in advance,
Stary.

Benq XL2411T around 240€ I think
These romanian nerds do not sell this monitor anymore, I have checked most of the online stores it says "out of stock"...

cause there's new version for ages: 2411z, but mind, its a cost of 50 new aimbots, is it worth to buy new monitor instead?
Parent
Aimbot is free lol

benq are the monitors to go!
Buy old crt and overclock it.
All lsd monitors are pretty much crap since they are so thick that there is no enought room for atoms to fly around and transport information from monitor to computer and other way around. With ctr monitors you get a funnel that charges all electrolytes to topspeed so there is pretty much zero input lag.
Well, in lcd monitors dwarfs who transporting informations and turning lights got a shorter distance to pass, just they couldnt be as fast as fairies hidden in crts.

bought my iiyma pro master 454 CRT for 10€ on french ebay. can go up to 200hz and its as good as BenQ 144hz
Parent
if u got VGA ouput on ur gfx (dvi -vga switch increases input lag a little and makes it bit slower than benqs in instant mode) its far better than any lcd in any comparation.
Parent
this one is the best option , take it my oldman friend ;)
ive heard its good
I've heard it's crap.. Try to get the BenQ one
I got the ASUS VG248QE and I'm satisfaid with the 144hz :)
Same here! Go for it Staary :)

benq xl2411z bestest
bit lower input lag than higher models, cheapest and bestest.

I bought a "QNIX QX2710" on ebay and really love it. Overclocked to 100hz(easy process) and 1440p.
For gaming I would advise a smaller screen though.
Ialso have this monitor and it's great (incl. for gaming).

I have the Matte version and it was $350 when I bought it. It only has a Dual-Link DVI port.

this is a really reliable site and has a good warranty and other policies. You can also call them and they speak clear English. It's not some place in Korea, they are based in California.

I have the same version. Payed 327$ shipping to The Netherlands included. Did have to pay some taxes though.
That site looks interesting for US based customers.
Parent
Wow, thats awesome but there are benqs, which are 100 euros cheaper with default 144hz@1920.
Parent
Ye but its not 1440p and 27 inch. Hard to compare :p
Parent
Ah, 2560 x 1440, thought its just 100 hz with 1440x900 :s
Parent
It's also a PLS panel which is way better looking and has much better viewing angles than the TN panels that the BenQs come with.
Parent
But higher inlut lag. I dont care about angle view since im sitting in front of it, and dont really need higher color quality for et or quake.

Korean monitors have almost no input lag and no OSD and usually only a Dual-Link DVI connection. Korean monitors without scaling helps cut down on input lag too.

There's a HUGE difference between the two.

  1. The monitors OC to 100-120 depending on each monitor. From what I've noticed it's not really a big difference from 95 to 110 even.. I doubt anyone can notice this or has a reason to REQUIRE 144 over 120 or 100.
  2. The pixel density is much better on a 1440p 27 inch screen compared to 1080p 23-24" which is what most of them are these days.
  3. The 144Hz 1080p screens that come at 144Hz use TN panels (most of the time) and not IPS/PLS which is what Korean monitors use. This means the color reproduction and viewing angles are garbage. With an IPS/PLS panel you get good refresh rate, color reproduction and viewing angles.

The only/first LED monitor to be released at a high Hz (144) and 1440p using an IPS or PLS panel is the Acer XB270HU. It just recently came out, and it's expensive.. as expected... because monitors like it don't exist. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009742

Yeah it shipped from korea and got here in 2 days.

Also, you probably used eBay. IPSLEDMONITORS allows you to return the monitor if it has ANY problems (see below) There are no special requirements like typical with monitor merchants. Some people have had rough experiences dealing with eBay sellers and almost all of those come out of korea. IPSLEDMONITORS can be sent back to California even if they shipped from Korea. Again that may be better for a US guy like me.

Warranty costs $50 per monitor for mine. It varies based on monitor.

Yes I bought mine of ebay.
IPSLEDMonitors really offer good service if you ask me. I havent had a bad experience with my screen but read some horror stories.
Parent
Thanks for all the opinions/advises I'll read about all the monitors you've listed :*
Well u are not worth of this tip, but i would recommend to take advice on some specialised page: http://www.blurbusters.com/
