;)))))))
have a nice trip!
Actually our traveling plan changed a bit: we will be staying 1 day Brussels, 1 day in Bruges and 1 day in Gent before moving on to Amsterdam. But would love to meet you for a drink or two in one of the mentioned cities mate. We are staying in hostels during our stay in Belgium. Got a couchsurfing host for Amsterdam though!
Let me know about your availability :) Preferably through a text smg when you're back home.
we'll have a car n stuff so we can travel a bit, gonna stay there for couple of days tho, so we cant drive shitload of kilometres :P
dont forget im polak so i dont want to go bankrupt:D heard zurich's zoo is pretty decent
regarding money, I guess you will be shocked how expensive even the simplest things are in zurich e.g. taxi fee, mcdonalds burgers, beers. But I would definitely recommend the zoo in zurich. If the weather is nice and you want to have a place to chill out:
Chinawiese
Or close to the lake is nice as well.
swimming in the river (for free :), place is packed pretty early if the weather is nice):
Zurich Oberer Letten
even tho you want to relax, best place to party and drinks and so on:
Zurich Langstrasse
Shopping area is around Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich or Niederdorf, Zurich.
Just a quick selection of the most obvious things which come to my mind. I only lived there for a year, so someone actually from there could give you some more information on sweet spots and so on.
But keep in mind, that I am from Lucerne and since you have a car, I would definitely recommend to travel to Lucerne for a day. It is only a 40 min drive by car. It is said to be the most beautiful city, not being too big, being close to the lake and having a nice view on the mountains of the Alps, since south of the city the Alps begin.
If you have some specific questions, just shoot.
Yeah I think we're kinda prepared for the Zurich's prices, but they are still kind of shocking to me :P especially after I've checked restaurant prices:P (at least @ the ones I've found in the internet). Fortunatelly we already have food/accomodation things sorted out. Anyway, I hope 100 CHF per person for a day will be enough for things like entrances to the zoo or beers @ bars
Im working @ money exchange place here in Poland, so I managed to buy CHF's pretty cheap, but they are still fucking expensive compared to PLN's, especially after last swiss changes of currency politics and greece case.
Yeah, I think one day we're planning to visit Boden's lake, so I guess we could hit the road in different direction the other day ;) So Lucerne is possible, especially if u say it's really pretty :)
I hope you enjoy your time here in Switzerland! If you are lucky and get the weather we have at the moment, it should be a memorable experience :)
e: 100 CHF should be enough :)
