Logitech G430 (headset)

Hey Cf,

I was thinking about buying a new headset cause on my Siberia the mic got broken. I found on internet headset Logitech G430. I would like to ask you, if someone has/had this headset and to share your experience. What I found the reviews were made by random guys playin minecraft and so on, so they prolly cant tell much about the sound. Is there any difference between siberia v2 and Logitech G430 ??

Or do you suggest any other headset with similar price ?

I dont like razer synapse. In past i was tryin some razer products (mostly mouses) and i didnt like any of them. Returned Back to G400. What i heard by friends, the quality of the headsets and headphones is compareable to the quality of mices so i Will prolly stick with Logitech But thanks for your opinion!

i tried SS kinzu v2, & logitech g400, and other mouses, but i think razer deathadder chroma is still better, and 60 euros for it cheap

Did i say anything about ss or logitech? But how are these razer headphones better than brainwavz hm5, sennheiser hd380pro, pioneer se a1000 or even cheap superlux hd668b?

Eventhough I would normally not recommend audio shit from gaming brands, from what I've heard people say that G430 is good for the money so go for it tbh :P

These 5.1 and 7.1 effects usually give a bucket on head effect. Simply guess why any highend headphones provide stereo only. Take a look at superlux hmc631.

Pretty much a no brainer but a decent headphones + separate mic should be the way to go.

fuck "7.1" and "5.1" headsets, been there, done that... Tbh stereo felt so much better for locating opponents

Just get a proper sennheiser headset and optionally a decent sound card (even an old x-fi titanium still brings it)

The PC320 is quite amazing for it's price, for a higher budget I would recommend the PC360 (make sure you get the latest version of the 360 though, the first ones had issues with loose contact at the in-built volume changer, also I'd recommend using the 360 with a soundcard only, otherwise it's a waste of money)

No offence but seems like u are still living in past. Actually superlux dominated low-end headphones market and hmc631 are known as a headset overkiller around this prize and far above. Probably the cheapest natural and neutral headphones with a fine scene and very good positioning.

Right now I think Superlux and Takstar really have it down with their products, I only picked the 668B over the others as it sounded much better for metal but would recommend the brand to anyone. Currently using them a lot more than my Sennheiser HD25II , though both of them have quite a strong clamping force on them :(

Oh hey, you still around? You didn't change, still strong Sennheiser fan! :D Prolly I'm really soon moving to laptop so the thing with soundcard is kinda out of the game. I heard Sennheiser has low bass, like I mentioned below to ETSNEAK. Can you come up with any other solution?

And well, 7.1.. I kinda like a lot that blue design and I heard the bass kick asses. I don't have to use that "USB SOUND CARD" anyway.

Honestly, virtual 5.1/7.1 is terrible. If you want to go for this, however, I can strongly advice you buying the Kingston HyperX Cloud (or Cloud II). It's probably the best gaming headset under €100.

I have the g430. It's pretty sturdy and alright. Although it's sound is not as amazing as other headsets it's certainly okay for it's pricerange. The only annoying thing is that the wire for some reason twists up super much. Each day i have to despin it like i've been doing 100 pirouettes on my seat.

Oh, you might be the guy to talk to. I read a lot about the wire twisting, but that's something I can still live with. Also I heard it's very brittle? Is that true? And regarding to "Although it's sound is not as amazing as other headsets", what you could suggest in this princerange then?

In my experience it's very sturdy. Like most Logitech products i used it has a longer durability than it's competitors. I travelled a lot with it and actually stuffed it without case/box into my backpack on flights/trips without any consequences (i should be a lot more careful i know hehe).

In terms of competitors in the same pricerange i would say Turtle Beach headsets are worth giving a look. Although they break very easily because of the fragile construction, they have better sound. Worth if you are careful with your headset. And the sound of the G430 is pretty good, i just happened to notice a difference in sound when i went from Turtle Beach > G430.

Ok, so the sound quality is good. I guess you summed up the things I wanted to know. At the end I was deciding between G430 and Siberia V3, but since I'm not playin competitive anymore I would go for deep bass and I like more that blue design. Thanks a lot!

If you're going to get the g430 you might as well get the g230 and save some money. The difference with the g430 is it has that fake virtualized surround sound which isn't very good... especially in ET.

If you can find a Sennheiser PC360 I highly recommend that.

Alot of people who say to get a mic separately are just elitists who think that all headsets sound like crap so you should buy normal headphones and a separate mic. The reality is they are in the past and there are good products out there.

Thanks for your sharing. The Sennheiser looks really good, even the tests were fine, but what I've noticed, it has really really weak bass. That's why I skipped them to G430. Well, I don't mind high melodies, but I prefer bass music cause I'm not deaf enough. But the the PC360 is like 20€ cheaper than G430 in CZE.

Is there smth what you could recommend with strong bass?

Yeah the bass isn't that good on these, but I've come to appreciate the way it does sound for music. I also have a Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohm and I used to switch off to that all the time but I ended up being on TS often and got bored of switching it all the time so I started listening to music and watching movies with the Sennheiser.

The bass in the Logitech headsets is greater in AMOUNT but sounds worse quality-wise. The DT770 is nice for bass, but no mic. As far as a headset with bass I guess I would go with logitech.

Depends on what you need. Nowhere is mentioned uberleetpro headset for beiin unbeatable and hear every piece of dust falling on ground. Just looking for decent headset for casual weekend playin some moba or db with friends.
