PB LAGS

Men, I have a professional eSports issue to discuss with you.

So basically I have installed Windows 10, and ET is working nicely - good good. However, I had forgotten about PB lags, and currently they are crippling my skill level. I can't roll like a true professional eSports player with jittery FPS and lags coming out my arse.

I think (THINK) I used a program called PB Affinity before? But has anyone else got another solution? I cba to set pb to one core every time I open ET.

I heard from people that Win10 is giving FPS lags on DB too :P (not much, but a little)

I reinstalled PB in compatibility mode, seemed to work...mind you I couldn't hit anything before Win10.

Oh shit man, I haven't reinstalled PB in ages, just been copying the whole ET folder and dumping it into the new OS

With this win 10 driver all the settings for every game were set to default. See those setting and try to set them to what you had before. Might help. I had lags before I checked all the settings and set them back to what I had when win 8 was installed. :)

I can't remember what I had before - wasn't there a picture floating around of good nividia control panel settings for ET?

Thanks man, these settings are making my game feel a lot smoother in my fps generally, but i still have the stuttering which I presume is from pb :(

Still about nvidia, make sure this is off: NVIDIA control panel > Manage 3D settings > Program settings > Select a program to customize: Enemy Territory > Threaded optimization OFF

I know it's on in my options, but might help you. :)

Also if still nothing helps, you can try to install pb as admin and compatibility settings as mentioned before.

I think the program was called pb priority 1.3.
I had it sitting in my mail concepts till a few months ago. I removed it because I thought I would never need it again.
It was used to automatically kill processes and set affinity and cores, but I dont think its useful now as most servers use pb right?

Simply create the following .cfg's and put these values,

pb/pbcl.cfg - pb_sleep "500" (scanInterval, default is 60)
pb/pbsys.cfg - pb_system "0" (old scanning method)
