New monitor probs

hallo,

So i finally got my benq xl2411z arrived today. I switched from and 19" to a 24" inch monitor(huge difference). I have changed all the necessary things in my config to the new values that my monitor supports. I launched the game and execed my config, and till i vid restart it seems fine, but after it my resolution changes back to old one (black edges on side). And it also feels a bit funky, had to change my fov too.

any suggestions ?
