Supernatural ending? [Spoilers]

So, the latest episode revealed that Chuck Shurley is actually God, and concidering the spoiler do you think they are about to wrap it up after 11 seasons? Was a great episode, wasn't expecting this before the season/series finale.

What makes you think that's actually the truth?
It was hinted before that Chuck is (or at least might be) the God, or at least much much more than just a prophet of the Lord. So in my opinion it wasn't that surprising.

Quite honestly I hope they are going to finish this series this season but from what I've read it seems the show has been renewed for 12th season. First of all - they cannot go into any grander scale than God and his sister, there will never be higher stakes than there are right now anymore. I am hoping that at the end one of the Winchesters die (and stay dead for a change) - they cannot have happy ending, simply can't.

I loved Supernatural in early seasons (that time when The Colt was the shit to crave for; 4 horsemen of the apocalypse passage was my favourite - I especially loved Deaths character, in my opinion the best depiction of Death in TV cinematography I have seen to this day; whole Lucifer story arch was very interesting; I also liked Trickster aka Gabriel) but for me it went downhill as soon as they wrapped Lucifers storyline by trapping him in the cage again. Leviathans, Mother up until this point was a bit "boring". I am also not fan of the Darkness, feels a bit forced to amp it up again. but if she is really Gods sister, then they need parents, don't they? And that might be interesting.
"they cannot go into any grander scale than God and his sister" And why is that exactly? The sister already was stupid idea. I see no reason why they couldn't go for God and his sister being alien race and rest of the aliens coming up with infinite chances for new villains.

Really? I am not the most observant person, but i would have never guesses Chuck was actually god!

Either way i was expecting something different, more tragic, not a simple "oh hey, been living this live, ignoring you all, but that cool, got things going".

It was a great episode either way, finally god appears. Hopefully 1 or 2 seasons more and it's the end. I don't get bored watching it, but sooner or later it's doomed.

And are you sure they can't go into a greater scale? I wouldn't be surprised somehow, yet it would be stupid.

Well, maybe hinted was a strong word but ever since season 5 (?) Chucks real identity has been discussed a lot, and being an actual God was one of the theories.

If they wanted to go further than God (and his sister) I am not sure where to look exactly. All I could see in Supernatural was based on various religious deities and mythology - christian, jewish, nordic and even pagan. Considering that God is the ultimate character in all of them, I don't know where else we can go from here. That being said - I felt the same when they put Lucifer back into his cage again, like how can they go higher in "big bad" scale when the ultimate root of evil is pacified. And they came up with Leviathans and Purgatory (I really don't like this story arch, I almost stopped watching Supernatural at this point). But even back then, there was still at least one more powerful being - The God.

Anyway - last 2 seasons are fine, they got better again, I'm just surprised that they revealed Gods identity so soon. I expected Winchesters to meet God in series finale, in the very last episode, possibly with one of the brothers dying, I think that would be a fitting ending to the whole supernatural journey. Let's just hope that series writers have some interesting aces up their sleeves yet.

Ive no idea what to expect anymore though, gotta give them props though (and really dont even remember much from previous seasons :D ) for being able to keep the series great for +10 years!
