During a prac on frostbite, forgot against who, Danone (141 times) was spamming those classic "Killed Player X with a headshot, Y player Killstreak" messages. None of us knew this was a "thing" bots did so we assumed he had some fancy script.
Then a few years later Jetro and me were ragebotting on Nexus and our bots were spamming those killstreak messages. All of a sudden I remembered, Danone you sneaky bastard.
This was in a time where ragebotting was still quite rare in ET, we're talking about 2005/2006 after all. This was only shortly after the timeperiod where one cheater ( Pepper ) had the entire community in turmoil. Different times.
What? Pepper who? Cheating was already pretty damn common in 2005-2006. Danone suddenly sucks less ass than he usually does, he's spamming weird shit in chat and none of the other five people ever put two and two together? Did somebody even ever ask him for that "script"? I'm trying to imagine being that conveniently oblivious, but it's beyond me.
And yes, none of us had at that point in time really been in contact with any form of cheating in ET, considering we only played pracs and never pubbed. ( I assume none of us ever played public at least. ) Is it that mindnumbing that people are obvlivious to something they have zero interest in?
Besides, Danone never "sucked", there was no skillboost, I'm pretty convinced he has always cheated in 141. 20/20 hindsight.
