Dutchies: What to do around Leiden (NL)?

Hey,
my little bro and 3 of his friends (all around 18 years old) will go to Leiden (NL) for a week this summer.
1)
What good attractions can they do in Leiden or around it? From what I see that city is close to Den Haag and Amsterdam, so very likely that they will visit those cities.
Can you recommend good, fun, young adultish attractions for this group of people?
(No museum, no drug stuff, no nightlife or any other kind of form of an attraction where the focus is on drinking alcohol).
2)
Can someone recommend a site or a place to find cheap hotels in Leiden? I already got sth. but just in case.
3)
Can someone tell me if they can purchase a group ticket for a week for public transport? Like with that ticket they can take whatever public bus/train they want? Cost?

I mean when there are big cities next to it like Den Haag or Amsterdam, it looks strange why in first place they will stay there. But as I explained, it is because 1 of his friend will stay there, so all go there.
Secondly, my bro is a muslim. And very likely his friends will drink a beer or two for sure, but they can also drink alcohol here. You visit once a different country, and all you can do is to drink alcohol? Really? Like you can't do that in your city? How pathetic.
I am asking for attractions you can do together. Its vacation, you supposed to have fun with people. And nobody llikes visiting museums, they are boring.

She said in Amsterdam they should visit Dappermarkt or Albert Cuyp or Westermarkt.
And also there will be a movies open summer thingy, called plukdenacht.
And she suggested to visit some festivals. That kind of stuff is good.
Anything they could do in Den Haag? Any suggestions?

How is that relevant? You can do just about anything in any city.
So instead of going to museums (because nobody likes going to museums???) you're going to visit flower markets and watch movies? Might as well stay home, I am sure you can do those things in your own city.
Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum (visit a smart shop before this one).
I stated clearly what the group of my bro is NOT looking for and you argue with me about why they don't want to go to museums instead. I DON'T KNOW. I don't care.
About the flower markets and watching movies. THESE ARE SUGGESTIONS. If you have better ones, keep giving me them, I will pass them over. Thanks for the suggestions.
On a serious note, I think Netherlands is much prettier than Belgium, not to mention dutch people are generally smarter and more open than belgians but not smarter and cuter than ROMANIANS>
