yes. really. one can't find any opponent even on sundays. when igla was around, you always had an opponent even though it was the same over and over again. at least you had one.

Forward Momentum quit after we couldn't find an opponent three weeks in a row, despite IGLA being active. Is the prospect of one team being able to play a 6on6 really keeping ET alive? There weren't enough signups last time I announced a cup to run it, but if IGLA signed up we would've had enough. Did he keep ET alive there?
IGLA certainly has some contribution to the scene, and I do think it's a net positive impact, but to say that he's the only person who keeps ET alive is silly. One player can't make that much of an impact, especially if all they're doing it gathering 5 mercs from IRC.
igla has a core of 3 or 4 players (buggs, h2o, igla + x) and he is the one who is proactive. he contacts "his players" and asks them to play. without him, they just idle in IRC and spam "merc avi" instead of asking the other playes they used to play with before due to the fact that they are too lazy and prefer to maul their scrotum with rusty nails.
whenever i had the urge to play some ET official gaming in the evening, i had the certainty that igla was around and that he was searching for an opponent. that's what i meant with somewhat.
He is also a reason why players left official gamings, cause he is retarded and annoying as fuck, and since he was the only opponent available, we would rather not play at all
