I've been using the Sweex HM002B for 6 years or something like that, it cost me £5 and has never been anything to brag about in terms of quality and I broke it in half a few years ago so it's been held together by some trusty tape.
now that I want to replace it, what are you using and would you recommend your own or another mic?
ps. do not want headset with mic. :S

do you use the Blue mic?
2) it has one of the worst price/quality ratio (heavy, pretty low quality transducers, crap calibration etc)
3) it's razer...
30$ superlux hd668b offers better positioning and overall sound quality
anyway, i dont feel like continue it with such a rude person, that insults you instead of arguing.
Especially when he's so stupid that he buys razer products, #rektsobadly

MICRO
-phone LOLI would re-consider to choose headset for gaming as it is the best option in my opinion.
For many years I were using Sennheiser PC 151 (around 55 euro now):
I was very happy about the quality of the sound and microphone. After I accidently broke the headset i decided to buy new.
Currently I am a happy user of Sennheiser PC 363D, they are quite expensive (around 249,00 euro) but I think worth the price:
The cool option about this headset is the external hardware sound card with the "3D G4me1 Engaged" function, by simply switch the pilot - to activate it, You can select between 2, 4, 5.1, 7.1 Channel Surround, in software application run in tray. The simplicity of the driver is exactly how it should look like:
As I believe, Sennheiser serve the best sound quality hardware products and they are leader on the market, and I would never buy any different sound products from any other company.
Cheers.
Sennheiser is good, but in that price range you can do better than that. If you want a good headset with good performance/price ratio the HyperX Coud2 are quite good, but for 250 euro's you can do a lot better.
