Sick! Good stuff stray.
cmon lads just 1 more 3o3 team :/
me & ipod will be signing up another 3on3 team so that we have a chance at breaking even this LAN by winning both 1st and 2nd place, just need to get someone to sponsor us to avoid paying such a high entry fee
:DDDDDDDDDDD

People didn't really get Ross' point. I went to last lan at 2015 and for me it was waste of money and time. No competition, no old friends, no tosspot and no herbal. If it had been possible to get even money wise, then it would've been a decent trip and would consider going again.

This time I feel like going, but don't know if it will be worth it.

yes, the very complex point of "LAN costs money", weird how all these people who are also paying to attend with a much lower chance of winning didn't sympathize with him

didn't your team place 4th?

For players who have been active the last years it's a totally different experience. They have got to know each other very well and it will surely be fun to see each other on lan. Even if they finish last it might still be worth it as an experience.

For people like me and ross, we go there mainly to play, because there aren't many friends for us. Ofc we can make new friends, but it's not easy in one weekend. It's important to us that we get at least some of the costs back.

Yes we placed 4th. I joined the team one month before lan without playing fps games for like two years. We pracced 2-3 times a week and there was no chance against anexis. This lan I planned to go for fun. As competitive as I am I took it very serious and in the end it made me very sad for not being able to win.

Before cic7 all teams pracced Su-Thu for two months and you could play 3on3's and 6on6 mixes all night long during the week also. I call this competition.

of course everyone has their own reasons for attending LAN, nothing wrong with that, but if you don't think it's worth it then simply don't go instead of complaining and expecting sympathy & special treatment

not to mention that R0SS and his team are clearly going to attend regardless anyway, otherwise they wouldn't be practicing

Genuinely speaking from a point of view from someone's point of view who hadn't gone to any LAN and probably wouldn't even have a chance to win this lan - and considering I'm a student and my 'not paid' hobby took so much of my time, I wasn't really able to make much money elsewhere, it would cost me a lot to go to the lan in terms of what I have saved etc - I wanted to go to this one just to generally meet people I really like, spend hours of playing online and talking to them even when not playing and just having fun with them - because even if I'd believe that I'm good enough for a team like R0SS had/has (fuck yeah I'm), I know I would never get on it but I would still go to meet my friends, even if there would be only my biggest love toNyy....

tl;dr I don't get the "don't know if it's worth it" - you know who's going and who isn't, if it's not about that but winning - then either get a team that can win, or don't go :)

I don't think there are many active players who can compete with ross team's line up that is in shape. You see it from the players placement and timings. They might have slightly better aim and individual skills but they lack a lot 6on6 game sense that wins the games in the end. How can they learn when there is no competition?

I bet you will have lovely time. The best thing (after winning lan ofc :D)is to meet people for the first time after talking online for many years.

should be the smallest prob =)
Parent
ofc we did get the point! should stay home and save his money imo, cuz his goals are much more important and if u crash them because of an esport event u shouldnt bother going. different for me tho... (many just didn't get the point of his wall of text without even asking about their situation - and many understood his text on the way that ross tried to change opinions and decisions)

would like to see u there

I agree that the lan should be considering all teams, not only top teams. Back in the day they took the fun stuff from ET, because top teams were crying that something is not balanced. (prone or mortar for example).

I might come if I find cheap flights! :)
Parent
Well played, didn't expect us to melt against you. If you think that lan had competition then you have no idea what it means.

^^
Parent
I just posted a gtv link, i added no words. If it was a question, then no but then again if you consider W;ET in its current state competitive, then you my friend dont know what competition is.

I always found your comments strange after the last LAN you attended. I remember you being one of the very last guys to leave the LAN in 2015 and before you left we had a personal conversation.

You stated how much you enjoyed everything and how great it was to meet everyone again. You would definetely consider coming to next LANs again. Only to find out you have been more negative than positive about the event afterwards.
Parent
I'm always one of the very last guys to leave!

Yeah I had fun, I said I would be considering coming to future events if ET was more alive and competitive. Maybe I didn't express myself correctly after the lan. I'm always giving a lot of feed back, but not in the nicest way possible.

If I compare that lan to the previous ones then it was a disaster. But it was your first event right?
Parent
Have you heard from herbal since the et lan in 2014? Is he ok now?
Parent
SAP DAWG! YOU STILL BREAKIN THE LAWWWWW!?!?

That's a good point about Herbal though, hopefully he's doing alright hey!
Parent
Nope, I hope he's ok :x
