Greetings mortals,
The first Stefan cel Mare 6on6 Cup was a tremendous success. Biggest thanks to every participant who made the cup an absolute sensation. I proudly announce the victorious team of the Legends Cup,
Team Oxidium and the winner of the Rookie Cup, Team Smashed. Every single one of you are the pride and joy of your motherland, for you were the ambassadors of Germany, the UK, Finland, Romania, Holland. (Those, whose countries are not mentioned did not catch Stefan cel Mare’s attention. Maybe in the 2nd edition, they will.)
Sunday the 25th of June is the day to mark in your calendars as the launching of the Stefan cel Mare 6on6 Cup Vol. 2. This Cup will be particularly special. You will have the opportunity to play the old school maps, such as: Fuel Dump, Oasis, Rail Gun and Battery (the competition version with 15 min). Before you sign up your team, please be aware of the terms of this special edition cup.
PM me on crossfire to sign up your team. We need at least 4 teams to make the cup happen.
I would like to make a show match on Thursday the 22nd of June. Teams or players who would like to play the show match should let me know.

Edit2: i think most of you dont even know the competition mode example fueldump. there is no tank at all and you spawn already in the 2nd stage. Most of you have the oldschool map with 30 mins in the head while you dont even know the competition mode ...

On battery mortar was the key for success, if you had good mortar you would win. It could be pretty frustrating sometimes, but still the better team won most of time, because the more skilled team was also more skilled in using spam-tactics the right way.
9/11 was a joke
I think its a try worth atleast. Its a great effort from eujen and i remember people begging for new maps.
To share my thoughts on the maplist: Fuel Dump, Oasis, Rail Gun and Battery
Battery was always awesome to play back in the day. I remember when cdap'black (finnish team) with Vanhaomena Zeku... played it daily and it was awesome to watch. When i started to build another cdap'black team with stownage and other guys it was really nice to play and battery got our homemap. I remember that alot of teams played it and i dont know why it got removed tbh. There is also this sw_battery version wich is also nice to play.. i think this map is worth a try.
Oasis is another map that got an sw_version and i think that this map has to get another chance!.
People forget that gamestyle/playstyle changes overtime and imo the skill level changed and the speed of rushing got really fast and teamplay based (some people wont agree with me but thats not the relevant part, just my opinion), based on that i think that oasis is worth a try atleast. I mean how can we know if we dont test it? people tend to judge about things they didnt even tryout by themselves or only got an opinion from 7years ago.
Fueldump is also with the actual config and mapscript, the first stage is not being played. Allies spawn at the 2nd part and have to get the cp and then plant the "Fueldump". I think that this map can also be really interesting to play without the fullhold 1st stage. Since that was the problem about Fueldump that the tank had no chance to get through with 24/7 artillery spam and barrier build being spammed.
As i mentioned i think Fueldump can be quite Interesting. Also worth a try atleast.
Railgun is a map i dont agree with. I liked this map on public but its just not viable and will never be. But hey iam open minded about testing it, maybe it is?
with this serious text here iam trying to motivate people to rethink their opinions and play 1-2 times those maps instead playing supply/grush or other maps that got overplayed after those years. For the passion of the game and love for it we should tryout some new things. If we see that those maps are not viable we tried atleast and it aint really to much of a difference if you play supply/grush 1time less this year to try this out or? :D
TLDR Version: MAN THE FUCK UPAND TRY OUT THOSE MAPS FOR THE LOVE OF ET :*

I think trying new maps shouldn't end there. There are a lot of maps in ET, and if someone's willing to go through the trouble, it might be possible to find some that would work really well in competitive play.
