Pc build?

Hey all,

With my partner having a baby I now get to build my own :D not had a pc in ten years. Finally can throw the laptop.

I got a little build but I really have no clue what is good. What do you think of the build and any recommendations?
Also which monitor?

My budget is 2 k.

dunno whats the current situation with cpus, but programs / games atleast used to support intel thus cores and ghz was kind of better, also with intel (i5 at least) you can get a bit lower powersource

free to correct me if this was bullshit
mointor = benq xl2411

replace the amd cpu with intel (cause intel lasts longer in general)
they said that the intel arent as modern as the amd now. Something about intel has abit better fps but amd will be better for future games and cheaper.

the CPU is a good choice, being used in a lot of new builds at the minute. The only thing is is that, if you're comfortable with overclocking, you can overclock a normal ryzn 5 1600 to the speed of a 1600x without many problem. Also, I've read reports that ryzen likes fast ram so try and find a board that will support ~3000MHz RAM etc
Parent
what is overclocking i hear it alot.
Parent
It's like tuning your scooter to go faster, but we nerds do it with our computers! Just search Ryzen overclocking guide. Ryzen can be quite tricky to overclock, your X370 motherboard can handle it fine.
Parent
proof please? how can you say intel lasts longer than amd when ryzen came out less than 6 months ago?
Parent
not sure about amd chips haven't really done any research on ryzen at all but just go for an expensive i7 processor and ur golden

i guess the build u posted is way beyond decent anyway so stop giving urself headaches and order it already

beast setup i guess =] try and get ur hands on these new 240hz monitors or this one

wow that screen is huge :) i woudnt know where to look!

Why i7 when you can get more expensive i9? No reason to get i7 anymore if you have i9!
Ryzen is is the best choice for price/performance ratio. And AM4 socket will last at-least 3 years, so enough time to upgrade to Ryzen 2/3.
Parent
Thats gonna be one hell of a baby there m8
thats what im hoping for! Dont want to have to get a new one in a few years. Want one that will last, think the specs will do?

take EVGA G3 PSU I am not sure what that one is? 450W/550W is enough. Corsair RM550x or the new Seasonic Focus are also really good. I would not buy the 1600x myself, because I would be overclocking the 1600 anyway.

Take faster DDR4, Ryzen likes fast ram 3000 or 3200 Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 is quite cheap here. And please buy some 1440p screen with high Hz to really take advantage of your GPU.
