Zowie releases the same mouse for 3rd time

fact check: they actually finally upgraded to 3360 after having the same mouse out with different coating 3 times before

So basically the change in sensor improves nothing, except for if you flick with a speed you will hardly reach with a normal arm length and while sitting :D

How about that, pmw3310 has got about 2% positive acceleration (while pmw3360's variation oscillates under 0.1%) and up to 4ms smoothing on hardware level, caused by: 8 frames of smoothing + variable framerate with 2000 fps minimum depending on movement speed. Pmw3360 got 2 frames of smoothing with ~5000 fps minimum (max 0.4ms input lag), which difference is actually something you can notice in fast paced fps games. Smoothing does not only affect input lag but also movement path on every move that isnt straight, also translates speed improperly in oppositive direction while accelerating or decelerating.
Not even mentioning the amound of other processing that affected all older (but not the oldest ones like DA 3g and before) sensors that fucked up responsiveness.

Yeah yeah, that's all nice, but with your skill you won't even notice the difference between playing with a ballmouse and the ec1-b

Definitly no, i perform noticeably better on optical mice, but yet good enough on a ballmouse to raise above your lvl with no effort.

great, love zowie mice, but I don't like the shape of EC serie. Logitech G403 fits my hand better, altho the shape is similar

Nothing wrong if you like the shape! Unfortunately they didn't release it with the superior glossy white finish :L
Just don't buy them from Zowie/Benq directly. Earlier this year I tried to return a EC2-A because the scroll wheel got stuck after a week. It took 3 fucking months and around 20 mails to get the money back …
