Hello there,
I'm not gonna make one of those "is ET still alive posts", cause it seems people are getting really tired of those. Browsing the site for a bit I kinda seen enough. I'm surprised and actually glad a small community kept the game alive. I felt like picking up the game again, just for fun. I figured there were still some public servers. I struggled to find any relevant sources about configs tho.Does anyone have a config I could use, or some sort of tutorial which simplies the cvar shortlists? It kinda looks like chinese to me now.
It's been 7-8 years or so and my memory is apperently more shit than I thought. thats probably also the reason I forgot the credentials to my old CF account --> http://www.crossfire.nu/user/23261/creaji. I wasn't that known or anything, just within certain circles I guess. (only attended one lan in enchede as Saiko's waterboy). If you recognise me from way back, hit me up. No clue if anyone I used to play with is actually still active at all, but well.

That list has some kind of a description of most of the CVARs available in ETPro. It's not perfect, but good enough for you to be able to build your own config if you're willing to spend some time going through the list and experimenting a bit when you're not sure what value you want to use.
On that page, there's also a link to a .cfg file with default values, and the CVARs are in the same order as the ones on the page.

Also, as Kimi already mentioned, you'll probably have to use r_primitives 2. I'm not sure what exactly it does but it has something to do with how the graphics are rendered, and the default value 0, which apparently is supposed to use the "best" available rendering methods, doesn't really work well with more modern hardware. (TL;DR: if you have low FPS, try r_primitives 2.)
