ET Windows 10 strange problem

Hi,
Decided to play ET a bit again, however I notice that after x minutes (sometimes x is 5 sometimes it is 30) I suddenly cannot use commands such as jump or fire, even though they are still bound to the same keys and nothing has happened to change it. From one moment to the other it just doesn't work anymore.
Have tried re-execing the config, vid restarting, reconnecting to servers and manually going to options removing the binds and rebinding the actions but all without success. The only option I have so far is closing down ET and starting again.
Does this sounds familiar to anyone and do you know what I can do to fix it?

But I have no idea what could be causing it and I can't help Rhand without being way more social than I like to be. I'd need to ask questions like "do all your binds stop working or only certain ones? can you bind the same action to a different key and have it working? what about a different action to the same key? do the commands still work if you enter them in console?"
Okay apparently I'm doing this. Curiosity won over introversion.
So, a few more questions then... is it only "+" commands (e.g. +attack, +moveup...) that stop working or any commands? Also, does it only happen when you're doing something in-game, or can it also happen if you just connect to a server, sit AFK for 2 hours or something, and then try to play? And is this only on ET, have you played other games on this computer?
- can you bind the same action to a different key and have it working? No, I tried in-game options to put +attack to a button on the keyboard instead of LMB, didn't work
- what about a different action to the same key? good question, will test
- do the commands still work if you enter them in console? good question, will test
- is it only "+" commands (e.g. +attack, +moveup...) that stop working or any commands? most things still work, it's also not even the mouse that stops working because I can open the screen to switch teams and switch classes

Funny thing now that I think back, it is not only that it suddenly stops working (LMB), sometimes LMB just stays stuck on firing :D I am walking around not touching my mouse button and suddenly it starts firing. Doesn't matter if I switch weapons/tools, if I start jumping around to interrupt the firing, vid restart, etc. It.just.keeps.going... Out of bullets it just keeps making the click click click sound all over until I finally get tired and quit ET.
Anyway, I think I will be playing ET again on Friday, will play until I have the problem and then try to find some answers for a few of your questions.
