help with changing fonts in ET

hey, i tryed changing the ET frag font for a fragmovie, the guide for it is down so itryed experimenting myself, anyhow, i managed to create a q3 compatiable, but when i open the pak0 with winrar, and switch the fonts, i get like black and yellow squers instead of the kill font. Ive tryed changing numerous fonts and i still get the same result, anyone knows why and he can help me ? :(
