q4 crashing due to PB

Before any of you helltoads start bitching about this journal being about q4 rather than being a simple (url) or some insignifigant shitnews about some noname clan changing lineups, then please take the time to stfu

Now lets see... Whenever I try to activate punkbuster in q4, my game instantly goes to windows leaving me rather irritated and pissed off... it doesnt mather wether I activate it ingame, or through CFG with cl_punkbuster 1, only difference is, that if it's there through CFG, q4 will crash after writing "utilizing menu's" or whatever it is it's saying, if I activate it ingame, it simple goes to windows as written.. please help me, so I can try to play it alittle and be able to pwn tossie :P
