ET crashes when loading map...

My friend got a problem: everytime when he tries to connect to server or watch a demo his ET crashes and windows says ET.exe has been terminated (dunno exact words in english)

He re-installed his PC (and ET ofc :P ), and it's still saying the same...

any ideas what's wrong?

Tell him to update his graphics drivers to the latest version. Is he using Vista?
