Changing the current ET

I don't know how other people feel about this but i've got idea that many people arn't satisfied with the current game. Then i start wondering why? I've been thinking about this question for a long time, but i just can't seem to find an anwser. Reading those columns like the one Chosen recently made about changing some stuff in the ET itself i really don't know what to say about it.
Maybe people on Xfire can give me a clear anwser on this question... Are people not satisfied with their skill, and do they just want to gain more skilled by removing parts from the game? Or does everyone wanna create a sort of Call of Duty type of game.... xD?
