Dual Monitor Question?

In work i have 2 x 19" TFT monitors running in dual mode attached to an ATI X600. Resolution of each monitor is 1280 x 1024.
My setup looks like so:

In my previous job i had a similar setup however they used the matrox graphics card/drivers which was able to allow you to configure your 2 screens to infact act as 1 screen. In effect with a resolution of 2560 x 1024. Now i cant find any configurable option similar to this within the ATI catalyst software using default ATI drivers. Basically i want to achieve the same result using the ATI card/drivers. Anyone have any suggestions or have done this before? Anyone know of any 3rd party software able to give the same solution?
