best resolution for widescreen?

Hi, i have notebook HP nx8220 with LCD display 15.4". And now i'm looking for a best resolution for playing ET on this LCD. My default resolution in windows is 1680x1050, i try this in ET too (with maxfps 75). But this is useless for shooting.

Some tip plz? Thx
