Can't watch demos

When ever I try to watch a demo, et will just quit half way through, for no reason. It's pissin me off cus a few demos I can watch, but others just quit, the same ones at the same point in the demo each time.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

btw, it only happens on this gay ass os they call linux :/
