ventrilo 2.3 codecs

i recently rent a ventrilo 2.3 server.

But when people talk loud , the server makes the voices ( kraken voor de be/nl ) turn real bad.

Now my question:

what's the best codec for ventrilo 2.3


and i do have sex with birds
