Icemat / G5

I've been looking at a few reviews lately as to what mouse mat to buy for a G5. I've come across the Icemat 2nd edition and some reviews state that it doesn't work well with optical mice such as the Logitech's G5 mouse.

Does anyone here use both and would you say what your pro's and cons are with it?
