pumping up my refresh rate

I have a Syncmaster 753s crt monitor (Samsung). Can I try to force refresh rate 100 without risking to damage it? Max supported refresh rate is 85 hz (up to 1024x768), can I try 100 hz @ 800x600? Or even @ 1024x768?
