FS Lag Problems

Over the last week or so, every so often i get really crappy lag spikes.
I downloaded a net monitor to see if i could find the problem, but couldnt see my programs using excess bandwidth during my times of lag.

I usually have running:

IRC
ET (ofc)
QTracker
Ventrillo


I have a reletively good internet connection so it doesnt seem like its just me using too much of my internet.


I've run spyware checks and hitman pro and didnt find any spyware.
When i get this lag, my firwall says there is lots of information being sent Outbound, but Netmonitor doesnt show it...

My firewall is currently ZoneAlarm.

If anyone can help me it would really help as at the moment its really pissing me off.
