vent sensitivity problem

Dear Journal,
before i formated my pc i used a sensitivity of 13 on ventrilo and it worked well.
now i almost have to scream or speak very loud even on sensitivity 1 .. if i speak normal my microphone does not even react and so people cant here me
seems to be a windows problem because on ts² its almost the same
so what can i do? i select the highest volume already and if i use "microphone boost" it gives out an echo
plz some hax0r like overdrive help me
