qpad cleaning

just interested to see what other people suggest. i've had mine for a couple of months now, and i brush stuff off with my hands. the middle/main part of the pad seems to be a tiny bit different to the rest of the pad. i dont know if its wear or anything. what do you do to your pad to clean it? what do you find best?
