Stumbled upon this yesterday:
http://www.nationstates.net/
It's quite funny and doesn't take much time. One issue per day you have to answer and you can let 5 issues open maximum. So you would only have to check once every 5 days!
My great nation (started yesterday):
The Democratic States of Azuwou is a tiny, socially progressive nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 6 million enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.
There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Social Equality, and Law & Order. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Basket Weaving, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales industries.
Voting is voluntary and same-sex marriages are increasingly common. Crime is pervasive, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate.
Azuwou is ranked 1616th in the region and 32,551st in the world for Most Subsidized Industry.
Let the poor useless people die! Muhaha. My nation hasn't given me the team to privatize the police yet, sucky game :(
