nVidia drivers

I want to ask what drivers is best for nvidia.
I have a Geforce 6800GT gfc card, And my AMD 64 3400+ and is running on 2.52 ghz and i have 1.5 gb ram.
I am usin 84.21 drivers for nvidia, AND i only get 230 FPS on Supply Depot 2.
My Fathers PC is AMD 64 3000+ and is running on 2ghz
He have a Geforce 5700 and 1.5 gb in ram.
As u see i have a better computer then him.
We are using the same ETconfig with same gfx.
And he have 290 fps on Supply Depot 2, and me only 230.
Is that beacouse i am using newer nVidia drivers?
