(Blue Screen) BAD_POOL_HEADER

Since Thursday (24.8.06) people and me myself have been having problems in ET. You join a server and after about 20 sec the pc crashes and you get a blue screen with a long text about the Error.

I'm pretty sure that Punkbuster caused this problem since they uploaded their newest pbversion on th 24th of August.

I've been working like a maniac to fix this shit. First I thought it had something to do with my monitor because sometimes I was able to play with certain settings (resolution, gfx-card,...).

There are 4 options worth trying:
1. Start>Programs>Accessories>Systemtools>System-re-establishment(3rd from below. There you choose to load pcsettings from a date before 24.08.06.

2. Delete your PB folder and pm a friend whos ET is still running. As him to send you his PB folder and paste it in your ET folder instead of the old one (which you deleted).

3. Wait until the newest pbversion. To fasten up the process I recommend to send a mail to Punkbuster http://www.punkbuster.com/troubleticket/new_ticket.php?game=et
(which I have already done).

4. Fuck ET and wait until RtCW 2 comes out.
