Cb - 5on5

After yesterday night there has been a huge rush in the ET community, cb saying that the future will be 5on5 instead of 6on6. A lot of people were against it and started signing patitions, or joining channels on irc to make their point. I was one of those ppl but now i realized that you can't fight cb and they will always "win". So with this information in the pocket there only remains one question for me, why did clanbase announce this yesterday, now that most of the teams are formed already, and not during the summer period or even sooner?
