Though mid-way through a Christmas break, the ClanBase crew have unceremoniously released the Playoff Tree for the knockout stages of the NationsCup X.

The top two teams from each group progressed into a single elimination bracket.

What kind of shitty playoffs layout is that?
I do not enjoy whining, but this is really sick. Normal practice says that if (as it usually happens) 2 teams from each group progress to single-elimination bracket they should be placed on different sides of bracket so that only place where they can meet again is grand final, thus ensuring that 2nd-skilled team gets 2nd spot.

That's why layout should look like that:
Germany Germany vs. Netherlands Netherlands
Belgium Belgium vs. Czech Republic Czech Republic
Anonymous Poland vs. Latvia Latvia
Sweden Sweden vs. Finland Finland
(that's only one of possible 'fair' brackets)
