NetRunners, zeroPoint Progress To Semis

Tonight, Sunday 14th January was dubbed "A Night To Remember" by ClanBase supervisor Belgium NightRaver. As two intense clashes left GBooky addicts near bankrupt. The first match of the night saw Rewind take an unconvincing zeroPoint all the way to three maps, whilst NetRunners pulled off arguably the biggest upset of the season over pre-tourmaent favourites team helix. Meaning both NetRunners and zeroPoint progress to the semi finals to face idle and cdap respectivly.

Upper Bracket Semi Finals:
Europe zeroPoint vs. Europe cdap pi
Estonia idle.ee vs. Poland NetRunners


Lower Bracket Round 1
Germany rewind vs. Finland sFx murso
Europe aMenti vs. Germany helix


Both helix and aMenti where touted by many as possible pre-tournament favourites, but this draw means we'll lose one of them at the first possible stage.

The point of the LB is that the 2 strongest teams there play each other and the 2 weakest teams play each other? Stupid point then, the 2 strongest teams should continue (and in this case that would be Helix and aMenti) not the strongest and the less weak team.

the whole point of W/L brackets is that you need to lose twice in the playoff in order to be eliminated. Helix and aMenti havent lost a single match in playoffs so after there match 1 of then will continue on WB and one in LB.
The other match one will continue in LB and the other team will be dropped out.

Helix and amenti bost lost their match in the WB, against respectively Netrunners and Idle. Now they would've faced each other in the LB (if Helix didn't drop out) and one of them would've to leave the EC whilest the other LB match is between Rewind and Murso, and both are considerably weaker than helix and aMenti.

So that means that 1 strong team and one less weak team progress, while it should've been 2 strong teams.
