It has been mentioned in Activision's Third Quarter Fiscal Year 2007 Preliminary Results that the release of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has been pushed back into the 2008 fiscal year.
Note: The 2008 fiscal year for Activision begins 1st April 2007.
What is a fiscal year? Any continuous 12 months, which is used by a business or government as its annual accounting period. The US government fiscal year ends on September 30. A fiscal year is designated by the year it ends. For example, an April - March fiscal year 1993 ended on March 31, 1993 and began on April 1, 1992.

That ET:QW will be released after April 1 2007 because that's when the fiscal year of Activision starts.

Still 3 months left in Australia, but if ET:QW isn't going gold atleast until April, I may just have a chance to catch the beginning. That should be interesting, given the right computer.. Ow well, back to the way to hot summer downunder..Laters :)
