Where it's now about 2 degrees Celsius outside things are starting to get hot in the ETQW-scene. With both the Finland Finnish and Sweden Swedish ESL Major Series (EMS) Qualifier starting tonight. And if that wasn't enough there will also be some action in the ET:QW Nordic Championship.

But as said, that is not all as the Nordic Championship kicks off tonight with TGBF showcasting Norway Benz1n.Gaming vs. Norway HeXagon e-Sports tonight @ 19:00 CET (click for link to the showcast..). In the end of NC, the remaining teams will be fighting over 1600 euro and a ticket to QuakeCon 2008 for the winning team.

Two teams from each group go through to the playoffs. Maps for round 1 are Sewer/Area22, and for round 2 it's Refinery/Salvage.

yeh. i know. from the beginning i was only writing a post about the nordic championship.. but then, since 2 of the nordic qualifier started today i just included it aswell.

but.. could've added the euro one aswell i suppose.

Info on the UK EMS Qualifiers would be nice as it doesn't look like it'll get 4 teams.

ye and merged with the EU qualifier right? Which has already started?! I'm probably missing something but as usual ESL aren't being very clear imo. In fact tbh the standard of organisation of the ETQW events to date has been pretty poor for the most part. I think only the CB OC has been up to scratch and people normally slag them off!
