Quote by EYE|mintrOur last game against Austria GUMMI was a great match. We had played them once before, but not on the maps of that day. We knew they were really good (not just from experience) and we took this match very serious. GUMMI got right into it after winning a thrilling knife battle and they went 9 to 3 up at half time on their pick mp_district on Marines. Things weren't looking too good, but we knew we were strong on defense so at half time it was a new game for us. The rounds started to go our way with GUMMI taking a few here and there, but after we started understanding how to set up against them we managed to get the score tied at 12-12 and we were really confident going into overtime.

At this point I'd like to credit my team mates who have an amazing team spirit, they never let nerves get into play and they're always pushing each other. We won the first OT round and GUMMI won 2, then we picked up 3 straight rounds on defense and took home District. Over on Strike we were confident this was our game and after attacking with a score of 7 to 5 we felt this game was in the bag. Not taking anything away from GUMMI though, who were the best team we've met so far and not just in this tournament. On defense we only lost 3 rounds due to some bad calls and managed to win 13 to 8 (GG GUMMI).

Against United Kingdom 4Kings it's a new story, but we will prepare the same way. I think it's going to be a great match and I think our team only got stronger from this match against GUMMI. If we can stick to our game plan it can be a really good game.

Quote by 4K^corpThe match against Germany Legendary was satisfactory in our eyes, we were able to dominate the decider map and win the match overall. The next match will be the biggest match of the tournament so far and our biggest threat in this cup comes in the semifinals. We'll have to prepare well for this match, but it should be a pretty even match.

Quarterfinals Summary
As you've read above Sweden EYE did a fantastic job against the battle-hardened veterans of Austria GUMMI. The Swedish team is looking better each match, the question is which of the remaining teams will be able to make a stand?

United Kingdom 4Kings is definitely one of the contenders as they managed to beat a strong Germany Legendary over a grueling 3 maps. It wasn't until decider map Strike that the Gaming Royalty finally decided this thriller in their favour.

Finland Da Imperial Executers and Germany nGize each won their own maps respectively, but soon after the Finnish side unleashed their fury and took it home on Strike with 13 to 4. Killing is their business, and business is good!

Unfortunately the other Finnish powerhouse Finland Logitech.fi had to bow down from the tournament as one of their players is currently sipping cocktails on a beach somewhere in Thailand Thailand. This leaves France oXmoze comfortably cruising into the semifinals.

I stole some quotes!
You didn't even ask us if you could.

Help advertising your tournament outweighs being polite!

For which site?

edit - nvm found it on sk
Parent
I may be the only one so far, but think I'm going to steal some staff from another site to get the CoD coverage up to scratch!

best introduction I've read on crossfire.
go finns!
Where can I find the demos of CoD4 Qcup matches?
You can't basically. Try some of the individual team sites, I grabbed Tek9 vs DIE from the Tek-9 site, but apart from that and the two streamed matches by QuadV, nothing.
Parent
If I go here: http://www.tek-9.org/?p=team "Demos" is not clickable?
Where did you get yours from?

On the main page just scroll down a little and you will see a small list. You've to have an account and to be logged in though to download.

I uploaded the TEK9 vs DIE match, you don't have to have an account and download speeds of 1000kb/s :P

No problem. From now on, if you ever need CoD4 demos or want to know what's happening then just check www.sk-gaming.com out or just pm here, if you need something specific.

200 kb/s :(

Any VODs or demos from EYE v 4K?
I've been asking jay from quadv when the vods would come up, I got no answer.
They seem to be quite bad at uploading any VODs, tis quite annoying when it's easy to miss the few casts done.

YOU ARE THE BEST PENN

quadv is fucking shit though. How bad is that stream? The casting is as bad as the stream. The guy talks far too fast I can't imagine the Euros understand it at all.
