Wolfenstein Stars Feature in GGL “Gamer Life”

Just days after the shortlists for the GGL Golden Llamas was revealed the GGL news team rounded up two of our stars for a look inside their movie making careers.

The first under the spotlight was Frederic “dirrty” Roginska creator of Violent Reflection, nominated for “Best Wolfenstein“. He reflects on his life as a university student living in Paris, how he got into video gaming and the tough competition.

QuoteConsidering the other submitted movies, how do you rate your chances of winning an award?

It's hard to say. I don't think I have such editing skills like in R3 Trailer or Winghaven movie, and I'm still fascinated by santabot's work, but I'm sure VIB movie has definitely the most impressive content ever shown in any ET/RTCW movie.

Next under the spotlight was the Wolfenstein demi-legend mAx, with his movie mAx Chapter 2 competing in the “Best Fragmovie” category. He too reflects on his movie making career, from his routes of simply creating .avis with clan mates to modern day frag movie classics.
QuoteDescribe your submitted movie.

Well, I believe there is 2 kinds of movies in ET and RtCW. The ones about editing, and the others about frags. People who tried to mix both always failed. So I focused on showing frags more than showing special effects. I guess my goal was to show it was possible to do some nice actions with a normal gun in ET, even if the game is more about teamplay and spam. Most of the people just see the amount of players fragged, more than the way they are fragged, I wanted to show the 2nd option in this movie.
