CDC4: Day One!

The first half consisted of SK trying to use their usual rush style with somewhat little affect in the early stages. They did pick up a couple of rounds but with stunning individual performances from players such as Klanne, Fnatic pulled away with a 7-3 going into the second half. Going into the second half, zsilts has really stepped up another gear with a flurry of multiple frag kills. There was a hint of a come back by SK but it was soon rumbled with the great individual performances by Fnatic.

With the score moving on to 10-7 for Fnatic, Fnatic only needed one map from three to clinch this match and they did so. It was a strange map for such an epic encounter but it gave a great insight into how the play style of both teams could prohibit/benefit them in the later stages of this tournament.

Well here we are. It's day one of our CDC4 event and after a decent nights sleep, it's time to get this party started! After a few hiccups getting into the building this morning, we managed to finally get in and are raring to go!

The first matches just started and a few players already cheering around even in this early time of tournament. Fnatic is currently facing wave in CoD4. "We will own them", swine said before the match against dignitas but he is in a bad shape at this moment. Geh'ab, formerly stofftiere online just lost the first map, it's a 2:0 for Dignitas. Speedlink already overcame TCM with a clear 4:0 win in a 6 vs 5 game for Speed-Link. Dignitas just overcame the Polish team UF Gaming with 11:7 in their opening match.

11:00 Dignitas and SL are about to take each other on in what could be built up as a really thrilling match. SL aren't that confident of being able to take on the giants of Dignitas but hopefully this is just them being very modest and they can really bring the best out of Dignitas. There is a short interview with SL here. SK are having difficulties at the moment setting up their machines, so their game with fivestar could be a little delayed. Dignitas have won the first map against SL and the second map is about to start as we speak. GaB also won the first map of their game against tcm and the final results should come in any time soon.

13:00 The first ET matches will come up in a few minutes. Vicious and Evil starts their tournament against MAZZ in just a few minutes. After minor server problems on side they are now going to start with the map Bremen first. The map system will be loser's choice, means the loser's will pick the upcoming maps, matches are played best of three. Next to this match, n1ce is getting ready to face 8bits in a few minutes aswell on adlernest first. Check out the GamesTV.org page for the upcoming ETTV matches.

For the first ET matches, some rumours might be destroyed with having 8Bits taking the first map against n1ce. VAE and Mazz is still on the first map.
n1ce just got it on the third map against 8Bits while Vicious and Evil is raping their opponent with a five minuts time on Goldrush right now.

14:52 First live on QuadV will be Call of Duty 4 with the teams oXmoze facing Hard2Kill at 15 CET.

The Danish sided H2K team placed 2nd at the EuroCup XV finals and can prove their CoD4 quality live in front of the quadV crowd here in Enschede and on the livestream. oXmoze did pretty well in the last major CoD2 EuroCup getting first in their group but falling down against the actual 4kings team in the playoffs. oXmoze will be their opponent in this group to battle for the first place, probably. Expect a hot fight on QuadV.

Next to Call of Duty the next ET match is coming with this seasons OpenCup Winner Tag.et facing the CDC legends aMenti/new project on Radar as first map. NewProject just got one old player back in with aCoZz and adding wEAK as their newest talent they will probably prove that they deserve their favorites title.

The third major match just become one right in time now, with Friends in Force taking the first map against ephix right in front of many ET fans, the mapchoice for ephix is radar and its coming up next. Make sure you don't miss this on the GamesTV streams!


16:06 The next clash will be out of titan names with The Last Resort facing the German legend Speed-Link including Trigger and, well known from ET and RtCW, Humm3l aswell. Pedro just caught up with CoD4 tournament admin 4k Morg to request a statement on the upcoming match: "Well in recent games both teams are very close. People would put SL ahead but personally I think that TLR could win and upset them. TLR did well against some teams in their recent bootcamp but it will be a really close match but the eventual winners will be TLR.". "I think that SL will win confidently without breaking a real sweat", Frije said with an opposite opinion about the result, "TLR are known for not being particularly strong on Backlot and with that in mind I feel it will be an easy game for SL.".

TLR just smashed Speed-Link down with a clear 11-2 victory.


18:31 Call of Duty running over with a few problems creating a 3 hours delay now. The ETQW and the ET matches are not effected by this yet and are nearly right in time to schedule. We will keep you up to date on the upcoming major matches as soon as possible.

22:08 The main event for this Friday has been delayed 2 hours but prepare for the major event coming up next on QuadV. The legendary names will meet in a couple of minutes live: Fnatic and SK Gaming. Both teams will meet each other on the map City Streets. The predictions went in advantage for the fnatic guys with their impressive sniper on long ranged maps, so we will see how the rushing guys from SK do tonight.

Update: Fnatic won the match with 11:7 and saves the first place in their group probably.
