No ET no fun.

GREAT SUCCESS OF DEAD GAMES
most popular games of esl
-ut3:P

esl sucks anyway
DotA (5on5): : €1.500 lold they support a map instead of the normal game :S
Mod*

WCIII is already supported by EPS, Extreme Masters and WC3L.
Parent
wc3 already has TOO much tournaments imo. the market is saturated.
Parent
But instead of this you can make an et event or smth
Parent
you have no clue do you? ^^ dota is actually way more professional, active and one of the games which is getting more populated every day. Also there are some huge names supporting it e.g. SK-Gaming, MYM , check6 , mouze and so on just to name a few. Supporting dota is a very good choice :D
Parent
count the people who playes dota and then compare with et.
in et there are more clans then dota ever will have..
and there just too less events atm.
dota isn't worse but i think a game which exist since 2003 and still have a huge community should also get a spot in the ems
Parent
you're an idiot, right?
Parent
and you don't get it right?
it s just my opinion
Parent
:< don't flame him, he's still young he can improve !
Parent
cant see why tf2 should not be there it has a big clan scene but agree et should have ems aswel:)
Bibuy EMS
http://etf2l.org/tables/ ok not as much as ET OC
i series hosted a tf2 tourney two times with 15-20 teams both times only form the uk.

yeah ET is abit bigger so yes it should have EMS and dota/dow picks are wierd.
Well the ESL TF2 EU section is far more active than the ET one. Furthermore there was a TF2 tournament at I33 and it is also featured at TheSGL.

Then you have to take into account that TF2 is newer and has far less cheaters. It's a steam game and can be buyed. (Don't forget it's an online competition)

Our community should have shown them that we are active. We didn't. Not even 100 teams at this Major Series Season.

QuoteBut they make a very big mistake if they don't care with Wolfenstein:Enemy-Territory !

We did a mistake not them. We didn't care about the ESL, they did. Remember the IPS and this seasons EMS. Three out of eight teams dropped out of the IPS. And now not even 100 teams signed up for the EMS but 290 für CB OC season.
CS girl and no ET ????? >____<
ET:Quake Wars ?
??? attacking qw ???

etqw is awesome and so alive!

as we always said
esl sucks ass
no ET = fail
no ET = fail
no ET = fail
CS female out ET in !
Why is there a difference between guys / girls actually in gaming?

Is there some study that says that guys are capable of moving a mouse better then a girl? Why do they have to split it up? Don't get it
its the same with sport..
Parent
sport = e-sport , ok i get it..

In CS the male gamers have a lot more experience that I know of, the female clans mostly didn't play together for 2-3 years like some of the male topclans.

But in CoD4 and such games there shouldn't be a split obviously.

CS has been out since 1996, and most girls started alot later. It's not only about experience though, it's alot about skill. Most of the female topclans can't be close to compete with the male topclans, and therefor they wouldn't even qualify to play with the male topclans in the first place though.

Even if this split could be quite ridicilous, since the female clans could very well climb their way to the top by praccing against male topclans, I think it wouldn't happen for a while. Maybe we'll see smth like it in the future, if CS is till alive that is.
Parent
From the point of view of fair competition you're completely right and I agree with you 100%. The experience argument can be made, but I don't think it's valid - there are lots of new male gamers too, and they don't get their own competition. Plus I think 2-3 years is enough time to become highly experienced in a game.

From the point of view of marketing and publicity, it's a different story. Since the ratio of guys to girls in (competitive) gaming, or more specifically in the target audience for gaming coverage, is still up at something like 9:1, and of an average age range in the 15-25 region, the decision to encourage female gamers to play in the competition is a no brainer. You'll get hundreds more hits just from the male gamers who want to see a picture of a girl (remember Christa's profile?)...

Already said it ^^
oh well, thanks for kafux for organizing the current ESL EMS season, and hopefully another league will pick up W:ET / ET:QW soon.
Counter-Strike: Source (5on5): €3.000
Counter-Strike Female (5on5): €1.500
History repeats itself.
theres nothing really "professional" bout ET.
We'r not getting any money, except for cdc5 maybe

edit: every step taken, is one too late for et
maybe you should sign up at the pstarz cup and the cb eu ladder, maybe dignitas or SK gaming will contact you :D
cmon its just like you...
only ur trying to take CB down each time ur getting a chance to do (like the 5v5/6v6 thingy, or some other decisions from doneX or other CB sups.)
no ET = fail
no QW = fail
I can understand that there is no ET, no one wants to play ESL (even when they were supporting ET with moneyz)

It's the website, it's more difficult signing up than winning the cup.
if you have a problem with the esl site how do you even manage the cb page?
Parent
I think the CB site is fairly easy compared to ESL, it's just something about ESL that makes me go >:(

I see angry ET gamers :D cod4 > all
The fact that we flame ESL if they do something wrong does NOT mean we dont want ESL to make ET cups - good cups.
