ET:QW invades consoles worldwide

After the earlier release this week in North America of the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 ports of id Software's latest installment in the Quake franchise, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, today the European and Australian players can get their hands on the game. The Xbox 360 port of the class and objective based shooter was handled by Nerve Software, the company behind the popular RTCW multiplayer part, and games such as RTCW: Tides of War and the Xbox 360 version of Doom 3, while Activision Underground took care of the PS3 port.

The official press release can be found in the "read more".

Rather Liked the 3D Metroids too although not true FPS games more like "FPA" (first person adventure) as the devs say. Number 3 on wii was amazing too, controls put to good use definatly better than standard controller (imo) but still nothing compared to keyboard and mouse.

Goldeneye was ace with 3 mates and ale.

Goldeneye, stop there ;)

nerve failed with this console port very laggy+more bugs than the pc version:|
et:qw on ps3 :) :) :)
I highly doubt I'd like to play an FPS on a console, it must be very shit when you have to turn around very fast orimage: labels=1aim precisely
Both are shittacular ports of a mediocre game. It's a lose-lose situation, no matter which platform you buy it on, I quess. At least the online rankings and such are semi-working. Oh well, I'd say both the X360 and PS3 ports will sell more copies than the PC-one, sadly. But why even bother, when there are 100 other, better, fps games on those two too.

And oh yeah, ET:QW was what killed Z-Axis, the portmaker of the ps3-version. Sucks to be them.
Don't be silly, Call of Duty: Third Person Warfare killed Z-Axis, Activision found their CoD game was so miserably crap that it had to be canceled immediately and the studio locked away.

Well, in early January they changed it's name to Activision Underground and closed it on April.
