Monday saw all but one of the first group matches played as teams kicked off the Invite #ET-Cup. Team xtrazone seemingly the only clan not to have read the script, pulling off a surprise upset in Group D. Frostbite and sw_goldrush_te the maps as Round 1 got underway.
The first and only match in Group A was between Azure Fate and Rewind, with remedium vs. noll8 rescheduled to tonight (Tuesday). It was left to Azure Fate to set the standard, narrowly defeating Rewind over three maps. That leaves Azure Fate sat at the top of Group A with two matches remaining.
Group B got off to an exciting start live on ETTV. kujuneb and negative image both pulling off impressive Frostbite defences. With two maps played we went onto a decider on Adlernest_b7c, but in just 2:36 the match was already over. A 4 2 win for Estonia’s latest all-star team. The second match of the night was between Team Helix and SKIT-evilm with Helix taking a comfortable 4 0 win.
Team Beta set the fastest time of the night over in Group C. Beating Fear Factory on Frostbite in just 1minute - in a match they eventually won 4 0. Beta are tipped by many as the one challenger for idle.ee this competition, who they face this Wednesday in the definitive encounter. The second clash saw idle.ee take a comfortable win against last seasons OC Premier Champions artificial. Though their performance was enough to impress several onlookers. Leaving Group C with idle.ee and Team Beta in joint 1st.
Finally in Group D we had the one upset of the night. As xtrazone reclaimed lost pride by battering one4one over the two maps, taking a 4 0 victory. This leaves them sat at the top of the table in Group D with uQ Gaming for company - who overcame EC hopefuls angelDust comfortably. uQ Gaming and xtrazone will face off tonight to see who takes the top spot proper.
The matches tonight will be played over Adlernest_b7c and Braundorf_b4 - with 5 matches broadcast live on ETTV and a shoutcast confirmed.
