Being back from my holiday in since 4 days now I present you the release of Sw Battery Beta 3. The changes that took place make the map much more playable and even for both teams. But without too much talking I will show off the major changes & fixxes that took place from beta1 on, with some pictures and of course the downloadlink.
(picture) The beachdoor placed at the old Bunker MG should already be old & known since the first releases of sw_battery. It can be destroyed by allies dynamite and gives an extra entrance to the bunker flag.
(picture) Inside the bunker complex several chokepoints have been widened.
(picture) Now all railings inside the building got removed, not only single chosen ones. *new*
(picture) As well known, Axis can spawn at the Commandpost as long as Allies do not have built it, but now even Allies can spawn there after they destroyed the Axis one and built their own. *new*
(picture) The backdoor as known of the etpro mapscripts is blowable by dynamite to give a second side entrance to the bunker complex.
(picture) The backway that gets opened by the blown backdoor has been flattened and the very annoying clip bug got fixxed aswell. *new*
Also the lighthouse and the turning radar near the bunker flag have been removed to increase players FPS which are very bad on this map. On top of that some might notice that the big window at the Siegfried Gun has been closed, this has been a major reason why players had very bad FPS on batterys beach, because the inside gun controls room aways got rendered by their graphic card for no usefull reason. All in all everyone of my maptesters recognized an fps increase of like 100 -> 125 or something similar on battery beach.

As the allies can now spawn at the Commandpost it should get alot easier for them to rush into the bunker complex. There have been ideas about 1) limit the number of players who can spawn at the CP or 2) Add a wooden barrier like in Braundorf (side) which can be constructed by axis after the Backdoor is destroyed and is constructible class 2 , which means can be destroyed by Satchel again. Please comment on these after you tested the map or give any other feedback here or in #sw_battery.
maybe just some old games vs TWK, but otherwise it was just vs likes of nirv that just used the walljump

Usually it WAS quite hard for allies to set a decent time but really not impossible. Now it seems that it's a bit more than balanced. I got the feeling that it's too easy for allies now since all changes support a successfull allies rush.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating =)

same goes for the cart outside at back, you can just remove it then rather to have it look like it can transport cargo for whole 1 meter in both directions
what's not realistic in ET anyway? you have allies and axis(that existed), you have real guns, you have maps that could've been real, you have truck drivers and tank drivers that never get out of the truck/tank(makes perfect sense to me), people die when you hit them 3 times in the head of 7 times in the body, the jumping could be done with a little practise...don't see what's not realistic
but to go with the flow: allies are paratroopers and are dropped there on supply, axis have to build the cp because they are pushing their defences forward and are establishing new command post to maximize area control
and for the rest; you CAN'T be serious, you just CAN'T
and cp is always behind axis first objective so it should be bulid...
think better before u start to be ironic next time...

the whole mg nest should be deleted, the wall blocking the inside-ladder from the main section should be removed, and that whole first part of the inside should be one open area
in direction of the mg nest there would be potential to make it wider though
Oh yeah, I guess deciding to play semi-seriously in the second round was a very effortless way to prevent that.
